Being a child of an Indian Army professional, I was privileged to do my schooling in various cities in India. The varied and multi-faceted experiences I had during my schooling in 7 different cities helped me to understand that there is no growth and progress without accepting the challenge and leaving our comfort zone! Human and Educational Psychology fascinate me and are subjects that I pursue during my free time.
After graduating from NCERT Regional College of Education, I earned my postgraduate degree in Sciences with a specialization in Biochemistry. This specialty is the root of my leadership and teaching approach, as I feel key skills developed in sciences - inquiry and problem solving - are the foundation of academic and personal growth.
I began my career in the education sector as a teacher at GEMS Westminster School, Dubai (TWS), where I taught Science to Grade 8. The next step on my leadership journey was as Head of the Science Department in 2008, which was followed by a series of interesting and progressive roles like Event Leader, Curriculum Leader, Parent Engagement Champion and Professional Development Leader. I joined Westminster School Sharjah in 2013, following twelve years of service at TWS. I have been part of the WSS Secondary Section leadership team since 2013 and am currently leading as Head of Sixth Form and Deputy Head of Secondary Section, both very inspiring and rewarding roles.
